Assetta was chosen as Carrollwood's 2022 Business Person Of The Year last year.  The 2023 contest is the most popular competition Alignable has hosted in five years, marking a 61% jump in participation over 2022. All told, 3,750 communities across the U.S. and Canada selected 3,976 winners this year (including ties). That’s an increase of 1,400+ additional Local Business People Of The Year compared to 2022.

I was in my final weeks of chemotherapy treatment for my second case of breast cancer. Although it was the second time, it was the first time I had to have chemo. As a child, I had long straight hair, but that grew naturally wavy as an adult and I kept it past shoulder length. It was a pretty shade of brown that I often had colored at the salon every four weeks to cover any grays. I liked my hair and received many compliments on it. It was a big part of my identity!

Rays Super Fan Crushes Cancer

Routine exams and annual mammograms led to all three of Lisa Assetta’s cancer diagnoses. She was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, then tonsil cancer in 2018, followed by a breast cancer recurrence in 2020. Assetta underwent surgery, radiation, chemotherapy and immunotherapy at Moffitt Cancer Center.
